Angelina Jolie is gearing up for a major life change — she’s reportedly planning to sell her stunning Los Angeles home and make a fresh start overseas.

After years tied to Hollywood, the Oscar-winning actress, 50, is looking beyond the glitz of LA and exploring new places abroad where she might settle down.

Waiting for the Kids to Grow Up Before Leaving LA

The reason behind the timing? Jolie wants to stay put until her youngest twins, Knox and Vivienne, turn 18 next year.

Once they become adults, she intends to put her historic estate on the market and move abroad.

She shares the twins, along with her other children Maddox (24), Pax (21), Zahara (20), and Shiloh (19), with her ex-husband Brad Pitt.

Custody Arrangements Kept Her in Los Angeles

According to sources, Angelina “never wanted to live in LA full time” but the custody arrangement with Brad made it necessary.

The two finalized their long and messy divorce only last December, ending an eight-year legal battle.

One insider said, “She’ll be very happy when she’s able to leave Los Angeles for good.”

A Historic Estate with a Hollywood Legacy

Angelina’s Los Angeles home isn’t just any house—it’s a historic masterpiece.

Purchased back in 2017 for $24.5 million, the estate once belonged to legendary director Cecil B. DeMille.

It features six bedrooms, ten bathrooms, breathtaking architecture, sprawling gardens, a private library, and much more.

The property also has lush greenery, arched fountains, a tea house overlooking the swimming pool, and a fitness room in the pool house.

Fun fact: DeMille expanded the estate by merging it with the neighboring home that had belonged to Charlie Chaplin, adding even more rich Hollywood history.

Reflecting on Life in LA and Future Plans Abroad

Angelina opened up in 2024 about how she grew up in Los Angeles but felt trapped there because of her divorce and family responsibilities.

She told The Hollywood Reporter, “When you have a big family, you want them to have privacy, peace, safety.”

Though the house has been a refuge, she admitted that the city sometimes lacks the sense of humanity she’s found in other parts of the world.

Once her youngest kids reach adulthood, Jolie plans to spend significant time in Cambodia and travel to visit family members scattered across the globe.

Joining Other Stars Leaving Los Angeles

Angelina won’t be alone in stepping away from Hollywood’s epicenter.

Several other stars like Natalie Portman, Mark Wahlberg, Eva Longoria, Ellen DeGeneres, Portia de Rossi, Sophie Turner, and Rosie O’Donnell have all recently left Los Angeles, seeking quieter or more meaningful lives elsewhere.

Challenges at Home: Shiloh’s New Chapter and Security Concerns

On a more personal note, Angelina is reportedly dealing with her daughter Shiloh’s next steps in life.

The 19-year-old has reportedly moved out for the summer and is living with rumored boyfriend, dancer Keoni Rose.

The couple was even spotted hugging outside their shared condo in Los Angeles, confirming the move.

Meanwhile, security concerns have arisen recently around Angelina’s LA neighborhood.

In July, police arrested a trespasser who snuck into the gated Los Feliz area where she lives.

This happened not long after Brad Pitt’s home was broken into while he was away in Tokyo, raising questions about security for both stars.

The Long Road from Romance to Divorce

Angelina and Brad’s relationship began in the early 2000s and they married in 2014 at their French château.

But things took a turn by 2016 after a highly publicized private plane incident led to their split.

The divorce took years to finalize and their complicated family dynamics continue to be a sensitive topic.
