Andrew Lloyd Webber’s son Nicholas has been diagnosed with stomach cancer, as revealed by the composer on Saturday.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Nicholas has been battling the illness for the past 18 months and is currently hospitalized in critical condition.
Andrew Lloyd Webber expressed his devastation in a statement, stating that his place is currently with his son and family.
Nicholas Lloyd Webber is a renowned Grammy-nominated composer known for his contributions to the British show “Love, Lies and Records” and the film “The Last Stop”.
He also served as the producer for the original cast album of “Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Cinderella” in 2021, which earned him a nomination.
Andrew Lloyd Webber was set to attend the opening night of his reworked musical “Bad Cinderella” in New York City, but has decided not to attend due to his son’s condition.
The iconic composer also shared that he will not be able to attend any of the show’s previews due to the same reason.
Despite this, Andrew Lloyd Webber is still busy with work. He revealed that he is currently helping write the music for the coronation of King Charles which is scheduled to take place on May 6. He expressed his hope that his anthem will reflect the joyous occasion.
“Bad Cinderella” is a contemporary take on the classic fairytale that explores the issue of unrealistic beauty standards. It is set to open at Broadway’s Imperial Theatre on Wednesday.
