The Special Adviser to Governor Willie Obiano on Political Matters Chief Ifeatu Obi Okoye says office of the Attorney-General of the federation and Minister of Justice needs to be apolitical.

Speaking on ABS Radio audience Participatory Programme Nzuko Anambra in Awka, Chief Obi Okoye said that the Attorney-General and Minister of Justice should only play advisory role and not being involved in politics and regretted that the Attorney-General of the federation and Minister of Justice Mallam Abubakar Malami SAN is a member of APC campaign council for the upcoming November sixth Anambra governorship election.

Chief Obi Okoye who maintained that the State of emergency threatened by Mallam Abubakar Malami SAN, can only be possible in a situation where there is war and subject to the ratification by the National Assembly and noted that the escalation of killings and destruction of public property in Anambra State in the recent past calls for questioning, even as he called for the removal of the Minister of Justice for abuse of office.
