Wife of the Governor of Anambra State, Dr Ebelechukwu Obiano, has appealed to mothers to resist attempts by power-by-all-means politicians to use their children as thugs in the forthcoming governorship election.

The Governor’s wife, who made the appeal on the sideline of the last lap of her interaction with different women groups in the State, noted that politicians who intend to use youths as agents of violence can never mean well for the State.

Addressing APGA woman leaders from the two hundred and twenty-six wards, twenty-one local government woman leaders and three coordinators from the three senatorial zones of the State, Dr Obiano reminded them of the ugly implications of allowing their children fall prey to the machinations of desperate politicians.

She noted that the future of Anambra State is too precious to be gambled with, urging women to show their strength once again at the November sixth election in favour of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, and its candidate, Professor Chukwuma Soludo.

Correspondent, Daniel Ezigwe, reports that wife of the APGA standard bearer in the election, Mrs Nonye Soludo, also attended the event.
