The Anambra State Commissioner of Police, Mr. CP Tony Olofu, has promised members of the public, particularly Ndi Anambra, of enhanced security of lives and property in the state.
According to a statement signed by the Anambra State Police Public Relations Officers, DSP Ikenga Tochukwu this is in line with the directives of the Inspector General of Police, Mr. Usman Alkali to rejig and stabilize the security across the country.
The statement explained that towards this end, the Command has evolved new crime fighting strategies to dominate the public space and checkmate acts of criminality.
It said the Commissioner of Police, Mr. Olofu further assures that the Command is committed to working with other sister security agencies to secure the state and reduce crimes to the barest minimum and to achieve this, it said the Command shall appreciate individual and collective efforts of all stakeholders towards supporting the Police in sustaining security, peace, law and order.
It urged members of the public to be vigilant, law-abiding and to promptly report any act of criminality or breach of public peace to the nearest police station or call the Command’s emergency hotlines, 112 or 07039194332 as well as call 08039334002.
