An Orlando man who was attacked by a shark earlier this week has been released from the hospital.

An Orlando man who was attacked by a shark earlier this week has been released from the hospital.

Shark bit 33-year-old Bryan Olivares at Daytona Beach.

He is the third victim in July alone and the sixth person to have been bitten by a shark in Volusia County so far this year.

Olivares claimed that when jumping waves with his family, his foot suddenly began to hurt severely.

When Olivares attempted to swim to shore on his back, he noticed blood.

The shark had bitten through the skin, slicing an artery and tendon.

The kind of shark that carried out the attack has not been confirmed.
