Amanda Holden Reveals How Her Busy Lifestyle and Childhood Gymnastics Keep Her Bikini Body in Shape in Corfu

Amanda Holden has given fans a peek behind the curtain on how she maintains her bikini-ready figure, admitting that it comes down to a mix of “unintentional fasting” and embracing a few indulgences along the way.

The Britain’s Got Talent judge, 54, told the Daily Mail that her childhood gymnastics training and hectic schedule naturally keep her fit.

She explained that her daily routine — starting at 5am for Heart Radio’s Breakfast Show and ending with dinner at home — often means she accidentally skips meals, a form of intermittent fasting without even realizing it.

Balancing Work, Family, and Indulgences

Despite her glamorous Instagram posts showing off her bikini shots this summer, Amanda said she doesn’t deprive herself.

She enjoys a daily drink with co-star Alan Carr while filming Amanda and Alan’s Greek Job in Corfu and occasionally has late-night snacks like cheese sandwiches.

“I’m not strict on myself,” she said. “If it’s a Tuesday and I want an Aperol, I will. Or if I want a cheese sandwich at 10pm, I will.

It’s about trying to stay happy and balanced.”

Amanda also credited her vegetarian diet, regular hydration, and Peloton sessions as part of her routine, joking that her “secret weapon” is spray tans.

Childhood Gymnastics and Natural Fitness

Her gymnastics background, which she pursued until she was 15, has left a lasting impact on her physique.

“I think my body has always retained some sort of figure,” Amanda said.

However, she emphasized that staying in shape isn’t effortless and expressed frustration with media narratives that make it seem easy for women.

“I hate it when you read about women getting into their hot pants two weeks after giving birth.

It’s not realistic, and it’s not what people want to hear,” she added.

Celebrity Inner Circle: New BBC Quiz Show

Amanda is also stepping into a new role as the host of Celebrity Inner Circle, a BBC quiz show described as a mix of The Traitors and The Weakest Link.

Celebrities and members of the public compete in general knowledge challenges while protecting a secret cash prize.

The final sees two players decide whether to share the winnings or attempt a risky double bluff to claim it all.

For the show, Amanda invited some of her closest celebrity friends, including Sarah Parish, Angela Griffin, Tamzin Outhwaite, and Lucy Gaskell.

She stressed that trust is central to her relationships in showbiz.

Lifelong Friendships and School Gate Allies

Amanda also highlighted the importance of friendships outside of her career.

She’s developed close bonds with mothers she met at school gates, who support her in practical ways, such as helping with her daughter Hollie’s school needs.

“I feel like a normal, vulnerable, working, chaotic, stressed-out mum,” she said.

“These friends don’t care about my TV profile, and that’s the best thing about it.”

Preparing for Celebrity Inner Circle

Filming all 32 episodes of Celebrity Inner Circle in Glasgow earlier this year, Amanda admits she’s nervous about hosting solo but says the process made the show feel authentic.

“It’s more me and less quiz show host,” she said. “It means a lot to me and I want it to work.”

Amanda also shared her love for sustainable fashion during filming, wearing pieces from her existing wardrobe alongside standout items like a leather Victoria Beckham dress.

Fun Facts and Learning on the Job

Beyond fashion, Amanda discovered quirky facts while hosting the show.

She learned that slugs have teeth, bananas are berries, and strawberries belong to the rose family. “I’ve been telling everyone about the slugs,” she laughed.

Celebrity Inner Circle premieres on BBC One and iPlayer on Saturday, 4th October, with the daytime quiz launching on Monday, 6th October.

Amanda’s approach to fitness, friendships, and work shows that balance, indulgence, and authenticity can coexist — and that even a busy TV star enjoys a late-night cheese sandwich now and then.
