Alex Scott Faces Camp Punishment After Secretly Using Salt to Season Dinner in Australian Jungle

Drama brewed in the I’m A Celebrity camp last night after Alex Scott was caught using salt—considered contraband—to season vegetables and rice during dinner.

The football pundit, 41, is set to face the wrath of her fellow campmates as show bosses plan a surprise punishment.

Contraband Consequences and Camp Amnesty

During last night’s episode, the camp was informed there was contraband in their midst, resulting in the loss of a star previously won by rapper Aitch in the Bushtucker Trial.

But producers offered a twist: an amnesty.

Campmates now have the chance to hand over any forbidden items without further penalties.

If they confess, dinner will go ahead; if they don’t, more severe consequences could follow.

Cooking Mishap Sparks Tension

The controversial incident unfolded after AngryGinge, 24, won 10 stars in the latest trial.

While Jack Osbourne handled the crocodile feet, Alex decided to add seasoning to the vegetables and rice.

“Jack, you have fun with the crocodile toes and all of that section and just give me the mushrooms, potatoes and kale.

I’ll add some flavours in. I know people are going to be happy,” she said on camera.

Ant McPartlin, 50, noticed the addition while co-hosting and asked, “Was that a bit of seasoning added?” Declan Donnelly, 50, replied, “I think it was contraband.

What’s going to happen? Watch this space.”

Fans Question the Salt Smuggling

Viewers quickly took to social media, baffled at how Alex managed to sneak in the seasoning.

Comments ranged from, “How did she sneak in salt? Her punishment should be she has to do a trial,” to, “Alex only wanted to do the cooking so she could put some salt on it.”

Fans will have to tune in tonight at 9pm on ITV1 to see how the campmates handle the situation.

Storm Disrupts the Jungle

Salt drama wasn’t the only challenge for the celebrities.

Earlier in the day, a torrential thunderstorm forced production to evacuate contestants to the Bush Telegraph, a small enclosed shelter.

Filming was delayed by three hours while rain and lightning lashed the camp.

A show insider told Daily Mail, “Our health and safety weather contingencies kicked in and we evacuated the celebrities immediately to the Bush Telegraph until the storm passed and it was safe to return to camp.”

The downpour struck at 2pm Australian time (4am UK) and lasted about an hour.

Campmates Battle the Aftermath

Stars including AngryGinge, Aitch, Shona McGarty, Lisa Riley, and Kelly Brook eventually returned to camp to dry their bedding and towels over the campfire.

Although a retractable canopy protects parts of the camp, it does not cover the entire area.

Rain dripped onto the campfire and the sleeping areas, challenging the celebrities’ morale and comfort.

Jungle Conditions Remain a Challenge

The heavy rain has also caused practical problems: fallen trees blocked access roads and four-by-four vehicles struggled through flooded paths.

Ant McPartlin even slipped during Saturday night’s filming, highlighting the dangerous conditions.

An insider explained, “The jungle camp cannot cope with this level of rain.

When it rains like this, it’s miserable and ultimately ruins the show.”

What’s Next for Campmates

With trials, contraband controversies, and relentless rain testing the celebrities, tensions remain high.

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! continues tonight at 9pm on ITV1 and is available to stream on ITVX.

Campmates will have to navigate both nature and each other as the jungle challenges intensify.
