Akon is now in South Africa for a three-night tour at Cape Town’s Saint Lounge. But if you’re hoping to see the performer for a steal in January, you’ll be very disappointed!
The popular hotspot will host the performer from January 3 to 5, with table reservations costing up to R1 million.
Additionally, a legal expert urges Saint Lounge against posting the’most wanted’ list.
SAINT LOUNGE: ENTRANCE FEE AND TABLE RESERVATIONS
Saint Lounge announced in an Instagram post earlier this week that Akon would perform at their location for three consecutive nights, from January 3 to January 5.
Numerous hit songs by the rapper and vocalist are well-known, including Lonely, Beautiful, and Smack That, among others.
However, as they did on New Year’s Eve, Saint Lounge revealed an exorbitant price to view the performer.
The entry costs to the Harrington Street hotspot ranged from R350 to R1000, but the table booking packages left attendees in awe.
According to Saint, a basic table set ranges in price from R5,000 to R1,000,000! Those estimates were merely the “minimum spending” for big spenders and “ballers.”

Obviously, social media followers were shocked by the prices.
Mufunwagail: “I am certain that table one individuals will be seated with Jesus and his apostles.”
Jaydin wp18: “If I’m spending $1 million, I want to at least collaborate with him on a song.”
Please come Ronaldo with the money you earn from the tables this time, says Nathankudu.
Theethato: “$1,000,000 for Akon? Please respect clients. “He is not Beyoncé”
Davidxwise: “Are our own tables permitted to be brought in?”
Vincentsenosi: “SARS has joined the conversation.”
WAS AKON THERE AT ALL?
Meanwhile, some social media users have voiced concern that Saint Lounge promoted Akon’s performance with “false advertising.”
Despite publishing images and videos of their DJs and invited celebrity hosts, such as Sarah Langa, Saint did not share any footage of Akon’s Tuesday night performance.
AKA has been mum on his Instagram account regarding his rumored presence in Cape Town, South Africa, or his performance at Saint Lounge.
