Even though it was The View’s annual holiday special, the ladies spent the first segment of the program criticizing Donald Trump’s most recent business venture: non-fungible tokens (NFTs).
Alyssa Farah Griffin described the former president’s “big announcement” as a “infomercial” in which he presented his Trump Digital Trading Cards and opportunities to win a supper with him or a chance to play golf on his courses.
“Poor Donald, he requires funds for legal fees. Joy Behar joked, “Let’s launch a GoFundMe for him,” to which Ana Navarro responded, “I’ll donate to a GoFundMe if one of Elon Musk’s spaceships takes him into space and leaves him there.”
Sunny Hostin said that his foray into the realm of NFTs is “disgraceful and shameful” while Behar asserted that he has “lost it completely.”
She said, “He’s selling small NFT digital sports cards, and the fact that NFTs are at an all-time low demonstrates what a terrible businessperson he is. This is losing money for everyone.”
Griffin, who previously worked for the Trump administration but has since come out against him, then criticized the trading cards, which depict the former president in strange settings such as Mount Rushmore or a spacesuit. They were compared to “Pokémon” cards by the host.
She stated, “It’s like the Pokémon presidency.” “When this came out, I received several texts asking, ‘Is this real?'” They were convinced it was a forgery. It appears to be a 3 a.m. infomercial that you would wake up to.”
Behar then said, “You know what would really help generate money? If he would sign those stolen nuclear codes, Navarro closed the program by asking, “How many do I need to purchase so he gets the hell away?”
It appears that these ladies will not be requesting Trump Trading Cards for the holidays this year.
