AfroBeat Hall of Fame inducts first-ever members

The newly introduced Afro beat hall of fame is set to honor its first hall of fame members.

The Afro beats hall of fame is said to be an initiative aimed at celebrating artists and major role players that have aided the creation of music in Nigeria, and across Africa.

The media office of the ABHF (Afro Beat Hall Of Fame) disclosed in a statement that the event was a first of its kind induction and award ceremony created to recognise and celebrate the historic and cultural significance of Afro music.

The statement further said “The ABHF honours the artistry and the contributions made by those who have played major roles in the dissemination and creation of music in the Nigerian entertainment industry and Africa at large.

” 
According to the statement, preparatory to the event, a media parley has been scheduled for Nov.

11 as a prelude to the main event which had been slated to hold before the end of 2021.

“The media parley which brings together key stakeholders in the music and media industry, will feature a fireside chat with leading names.

“With media representatives from across TV, radio, print and digital platforms in attendance, the parley will among other things, shed more light on the upcoming Afrobeat Hall of Fame induction ceremony scheduled for the end of the year,” it said.

According to the organisers, Artistes and other contributors to the creation of music across Africa are to be honoured with the maiden Afro Beat Hall of Fame (ABHF).
