Africa Centre for Energy Policy invites policymakers, media professionals, and academics to apply for the Africa Climate Academy training in Accra, Ghana in May 2025

Are you passionate about climate change and energy solutions? The Africa Centre for Energy Policy is inviting applications for the Africa Climate Academy, a dynamic 5-day training event designed for policymakers, media professionals, civil society leaders, and academics.

This program aims to provide participants with the knowledge and tools needed to drive sustainable climate and energy solutions across Africa.

• Dates: May 20th – 24th, 2025
• Location: Accra, Ghana

Who Can Apply?

If you’re an African professional with a focus on climate change and energy, this opportunity could be for you.

To apply, you must meet the following criteria:

• Be an African resident living on the continent.
• Hold a role as a policymaker, media professional, civil society leader, or academic with a strong interest in climate and energy issues.
• Have at least three years of professional experience in your field, demonstrating commitment to addressing oil dependency and promoting sustainable energy solutions.
• Show a keen interest in exploring sustainable energy alternatives to reduce fossil fuel reliance across Africa.
• Be available to fully participate in all sessions and activities during the 5-day program.
• Have a good command of English, as the program will be conducted in English.

Fully Funded Program

This is a fully funded opportunity. All course fees, travel, accommodation, and meals will be covered.
