Actor Orlando Bloom Shows Off Pain-Filled Gym Face While Exercising and Opens Up About Extreme Diet for Movie Role

Orlando Bloom kicked off his Friday with a serious workout session, and he didn’t hold back from showing the effort.

The 48-year-old actor shared his early morning gym routine on Instagram, posting mirror selfies that captured his wincing “gym face” as he pushed through a tough session.

He even joked in the caption, writing “not that face” with a laughing emoji, while the video zoomed in on a digital clock reading 5:59 a.m.

Dressed casually in a white T-shirt, black shorts, socks, and trainers, Orlando showed that he’s all about staying sporty while keeping it simple.

Surprise Visitor in the Garage

Later on, Orlando’s morning took a lighter turn when he discovered a wild bird had wandered into his garage.

His amusement at the unexpected visitor was obvious, showing that even a strict workout day can come with spontaneous moments of fun.

Intense Weight Loss for Movie Role

Orlando’s recent fitness efforts aren’t just about staying in shape—they were part of a dramatic transformation for his new psychological thriller, The Cut.

The film, which explores the extreme weight-cutting methods of boxers, required Orlando to shed a significant amount of weight.

On an episode of This Morning, host Rylan Clark, 36, asked about the grueling process.

“Your physical transformation was absolutely insane, what you had to do. How did you manage?” Rylan asked.

Orlando explained that it wasn’t easy or something he would recommend casually.

“I had a great nutritionist, someone who had worked with Christian Bale,” he said.

“He monitored my blood, tiered my meals down from three to two to one, and suddenly all these foods were being taken away.

My protein powder was the last thing left—I was like, ‘No! Don’t take that one!’”

For the last three weeks of prep, his diet was reduced to just tuna and cucumber.

“We shot the film in reverse chronological order because of the weight. I had no energy or brain power.

Mentally, physically, I was hangry. I was a horrible person to be around,” he admitted candidly.

Russell Brand Reacts to Katy Perry’s Romance

Meanwhile, Russell Brand, 50, weighed in on Katy Perry’s (41) dating life—specifically her relationship with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, 53.

Speaking to a conservative audience for a group founded by the late Charlie Kirk, Brand reflected on his past marriage to the pop star from 2010 to 2012.

“I love her still,” Brand said, acknowledging Perry’s mom in the audience.

“And I was okay with her dating Orlando Bloom, but Justin Trudeau? Come on, man! Don’t put me in a category with that guy.”

Brand’s humorous yet pointed comments show that while he’s supportive of Perry’s past romance with Orlando, the political connection of Trudeau is where he draws the line.
