It’s no secret that losing weight can be one of the toughest battles — and even when you do make progress, not everyone claps for you.
That’s what happened to London-based actor and content creator George Keywood, who dropped an incredible six stone in just 11 months after taking the weight loss drug Mounjaro.
But instead of all praise and applause, he’s had to face internet trolls calling him “lazy” and saying he “took the easy way out.”
Life Before the Change: Sugar Cravings, Swollen Feet, and Pizza Dinners
Before starting his journey, George’s lifestyle was a bit of a downward spiral.
At 31, he was pre-diabetic, struggling to walk upstairs, and stuck in a routine that included five cans of Coca-Cola a day, full pizzas, garlic bread, and constant snacking.
His feet were so swollen he couldn’t even wear shoes.
“It was rough,” he admitted. “I thought, it’s probably too much at this point.”
That all changed last August when he was offered Mounjaro — for free — by a private online pharmacy.
Since then, he’s lost around two pounds every week.
One Meal a Day and No More Cravings
Now, George says his sugar cravings are almost completely gone.
He typically eats just one main meal a day, often skips breakfast, and doesn’t snack anymore.
“For about five out of seven days, I don’t even think about food,” he shared.
“It doesn’t stop you from eating, but it just switches off the urge to overindulge — which is what I used to do.”
He’s even gone from drinking five sugary colas a day to just one a week.
“I once tried to eat a pizza like I used to and threw up half an hour later,” he said. “That was a wake-up moment.”
Online Hate and Social Media Double Standards
Despite his clear progress, George has faced a wave of criticism online.
Some say he’s “cheating” by using medication.
But George is used to the judgment — he’s faced scrutiny even when he was heavier, especially over his relationship with his wife, Sienna.
“People used to say I was mismatched with my wife because she’s slim,” George said.
“Now they’re mad I’m losing weight. You can’t win. There’s always a reason for people to hate.”
Still, he’s focused on his goals. “This is for me, not them,” he added.
“If I can lose another 40kg in the next nine months, that’ll be more than I ever expected.
Ideally, I don’t want to be on this medication for more than two years.”
The Family Impact: From Peppa Pig World to Active Holidays
Sienna, who fully supports George’s journey, says the change has been huge for their family — especially for their five-year-old son, Oliver.
“Before, I felt like I had to do everything,” she shared.
“On holidays, I’d be dreading it because we had to Uber everywhere.”
Now, things are totally different. “He can walk all day again. He takes Oliver out on his own.
It’s like the old days when we first met — he’s just been happier.”
She even recalled a time at Peppa Pig World when she had to carry their son while George trailed behind.
“Now the roles have reversed,” she smiled. “I’m really proud of him.
He made this decision for his health, and it’s benefited all of us.”
A New Chapter with No Regrets
Despite being overweight his whole life, George says he’s never let it hold him back too much.
But now that he’s experiencing a healthier, more active life, he’s got one thing on his mind: longevity.
“You don’t see fat people in care homes,” he said. “I want to live to 70 or 80 and see my son grow up.”
With more energy, a better relationship with food, and a supportive family cheering him on, George is proof that there’s no “one-size-fits-all” to taking control of your health — and no one should have to justify the path they choose to get there.
