ABU DHABI, 3rd February, 2022 – Abdullah Mohammed Al Mazrui, Chairman of both the Federation of UAE Chambers and Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, has received Tugay Tuncer, Ambassador of Turkey to the UAE, at the chamber’s tower in Abu Dhabi, wishing him all the best in performing his duties in boosting cooperation relations between the UAE and Turkey, especially in the trade and investment sectors.

Attended by Mohamed Helal Al Mheiri, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Chamber, Al Mazrui emphasised on the strong relations between the two countries, pointing out that such relations are vital in pushing the economic development in both countries forward.

Al Mazrui added that the UAE and Turkey are pivotal trade partners in all sectors and that the UAE is the biggest trade partner with Turkey in the region.

Al Mazrui pointed to the need to increase the cooperation between businesses in Abu Dhabi and Turkey, noting that Abu Dhabi is one of the most important business destinations considering its attractive business environment and the incentives it offers for investors to explore the available investment opportunities in diverse sectors, including tourism, hospitality, IT, 4th industrial revolution, renewable energy, food industry, food security, and logistics to name a few.

He also highlighted the services of the Chamber and its awareness to support businesses in the emirate, emphasising on the readiness of the Chamber to increase cooperation and boost trade and investment relations to better serve the business community in both countries.

Ambassador Tuncer commended the huge developmental advancement of the UAE, congratulating it on its 50th anniversary, stressing in the awareness of Turkey to open new doors of economic cooperation between the two countries.

The ambassador praised the welcome he received at the Chamber, expressing his interest in increasing exchanged visits between Abu Dhabi Chamber and Emirati businesses with their Turkish counterparts, and in coordinating business forums in Abu Dhabi that would serve their common interests.
