Police are conducting an investigation after a man was fatally shot and four people, including a 14-year-old girl, were injured in gunshots around the city on Friday night and early Saturday morning.

The Hillman City neighbourhood police responded to a gunshot in the 4200 block of South Orcas Street at 11:24 p.m. Two victims with gunshot wounds were discovered by officers in a nearby alley.

Police rendered first help to the woman, age 21, and the man, age 27, before transferring care to Seattle Fire Department medics upon their arrival. The man and woman were brought to Harborview Medical Center in stable condition by medical personnel.

The victims said that the shooting happened around the corner from where they were discovered, and authorities collected many shot casings in that area.

SODO police responded to a gunfire at Occidental Avenue South and Edgar Martinez Drive South around 12:18 a.m. Officers discovered a 14-year-old girl shot in the leg upon their arrival. According to eyewitnesses, gunshots erupted at a neighbouring pub, and the victim was among a large number of individuals who fled when they heard the bullets. SFD medical personnel rushed the child in serious condition to HMC.

Officers discovered at least four damaged vehicles and recovered more than eighty handgun and rifle rounds at the scene of the shooting. The police will examine if any of the twelve weapons seized from the bar’s private security officers were used in the shooting.

Shortly after this occurrence, a guy came at HMC in a bullet-damaged vehicle and with a head injuries. The individual consented to meet with authorities and surrendered a weapon from his vehicle.

At 3:17 a.m., officers from the Pioneer Square area responded to the intersection of 3rd Avenue South and South Main Street in response to allegations that a man had been shot. Officers discovered a man with two gunshot wounds and administered aid immediately. SFD medics also responded to provide treatment and eventually transported the man to HMC in critical condition.

The police discovered a nearby crime scene where they retrieved ballistic evidence, but they were unable to identify any witnesses to the shooting.

Anyone with information on any of these crimes can call (206) 233-5000 to reach the Violent Crimes Tip Line.

Investigations into each of these shooting occurrences are active and continuing, and early evidence does not suggest that they are linked or connected.
