An Ohio softball coach who “had intercourse with a 17-year-old pupil eight times, including in the back of a vehicle, and then begged the youngster not to report her” is facing years in jail.
On October 12, Ashley Rison, 31, a former PE teacher at a high school, entered a guilty plea to the counts of sexual violence and gross sexual imposition.
She is presently awaiting the final trial on November 16 in which she might be charged as a sex offender and faces a maximum sentence of five years in prison.
Since August 2015, the 31-year-old has served as a softball and basketball coach at the New Miami school.

Authorities have video of her reportedly engaging in sex eight times in April 2021 in the backseat of a vehicle with a 17-year-old pupil.
In addition to what the child has told us, Assistant Prosecutor Lindsay Sheehan added: “We do have recordings between Ms. Rison and the child where Ms. Rison makes repeated damning remarks in requesting, pleading with the youngster not to report her to the police.”
On May 3, 2021, the day the offenses began to reach the Butler County Sheriff’s Office, she resigned from her position.
She was accused of tampering with evidence and providing alcohol to a minor, but these charges were ultimately withdrawn.
Ashley Ra-Nae Rison is no longer employed by the New Miami Local School Board, according to superintendent Rhonda Parker.
“Ms. Rison resigned from her positions as paraprofessional and coach with effect from May 3, 2021.
At this time, New Miami Local Schools has nothing else to say.
“It was revealed she was in a vehicle with the [victim] and observed, and it moved from there,” Butler County Prosecutor Mike Gmoser said.
Every prosecutor I’ve ever met and every state I’ve ever worked with takes cases between instructors and childs seriously when it comes to sexual activity and contact, said Gmoser.
We’re working with impressionable young brains, and an adult shows up and takes advantage of them.
We treat all crimes seriously, but I believe we treat offenses involving positions of trust much more severely.
“Prosecutors may hold these individuals responsible to show them that we take this seriously,” they said.
As soon as Rison paid 10% of her USD 10,000 (GBP 8,820) bail, she was handed a GPS tracker.
