Governor Ron DeSantis Announces the Appointment of Two to the Board of Cosmetology

Governor Ron DeSantis today announced the appointment of Trena Giddens to the Board of Cosmetology and the reappointment of Marisol Marin.

Trena Giddens

Giddens, of Quincy, is the owner and a stylist at Awaken 514, Inc. She has been a licenced cosmetologist for 34 years and now serves on the Lively College Advisory Board. Giddens graduated from Lively Vocational-Technical School with a technical certificate.

Marisol Marin

Marin, of Miami, works as a Contracts Compliance Specialist for Miami-Dade County Public Schools. She formerly worked as a Cosmetology Instructor at Robert Morgan Technical College. Marin received her bachelor’s degree from Barry University.

These appointees are subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.
