Career

Before joining The Washington Post and MSNBC, Jonathan Capehart served as a researcher for NBC’s The Today Show. From 1993 until 2000, he served as a member of the editorial board of the New York Daily News. Capehart was the youngest member of the newspaper’s editorial board at the time of his employment. In 2000, he left the Daily News to join Bloomberg News. During Michael Bloomberg’s 2001 bid for mayor of New York City, Capehart advised and drafted his speeches.
