Tennis legend Roger Federer retires

Roger Federer, a tennis great, announced his retirement from the game on Thursday.

Federer recognised the injuries he has had over the last three years in a video that was shared on Twitter. He also highlighted the effort he has done to attempt to bring his body back to normal.

“I’m a 41-year-old man. Over the course of 24 years, I’ve participated in over 1,500 games. And now I have to decide when to call it quits on my competitive career “said he.

Federer claimed the Laver Cup in London the following week would be his last ATP competition.
