Peter FitzSimons’ ARM wants Queen Elizabeth off the $5 bill

The Australian Republican Movement (ARM), which is headed by Peter FitzSimons, plans to demand that Queen Elizabeth’s likeness be taken off of the nation’s current $5 note.

According to Daily Mail Australia, the ARM will also petition the government to refrain from replacing the image of the Queen on coins starting in 2019 with that of King Charles III.

The gang has put off starting a republic until after the Queen’s funeral in London the following week.

But according to ARM, when it renews operations, removing royals from Australian money would play a significant role in the group’s lobbying.

More will follow.
