Two Central Queensland women were found dead in their Rockhampton home

Police are searching the residence of two ladies whose bodies were discovered in a suspicious manner.

Saturday night, a 44-year-old woman and an 81-year-old man were discovered in a residence on Bank Street in Rockhampton, Central Queensland.

Approximately 5.30 p.m., police were called to a welfare check where they reportedly discovered the deceased.

On Sunday morning, criminal investigation detectives and police officers were spotted at the residence as part of an ongoing inquiry into the cause of death.

There will be a report to the coroner.
