Brits claim that the Queen “gave us a message” and has “truly left us” when a double rainbow emerged this afternoon above Buckingham Palace and another one at Windsor Castle.

A rainbow emerged to those eagerly awaiting the news outside the palace gates shortly after Queen Elizabeth II’s passing was reported, with some claiming that the monarch “left it” for the country.

Even the Victoria Memorial saw a double rainbow, which led some to speculate that it was “Queen Elizabeth with Prince Phillip.”

The Queen died away at the age of 96 this afternoon at Balmoral Castle, according to a statement from Buckingham Palace.

Another person said: “A rainbow appears tonight when Windsor lowers the Union Jack to half-staff. A striking picture. Goodbye, Ma’am.

Others saw the rainbows’ appearance immediately after the news of the monarch’s passing as proof that she had “truly left us.”

Since Buckingham Palace stated today that doctors were becoming “concerned” about the Queen’s health, people have begun gathering around her properties.

Before Her Majesty passed away this afternoon, members of the royal family were spotted going to Balmoral to pay her a visit.

At 6.30 p.m., her death was confirmed.

According to a spokeswoman at Buckingham Palace, “The Queen passed away quietly at Balmoral this afternoon.” The King and the Queen Consort will spend this evening and tomorrow in Balmoral before flying back to London.

Millions of the Queen’s subjects in the UK and worldwide will grieve her loss during the 10 days of national mourning that will follow her death in Britain and her Commonwealth states.

Social media users have shared their sorrow over the rainbow photographs, writing that Queen has “left us lovely rainbows over Balmoral and over Buckingham Palace” and that the unexpected rainbow was “symbolic.”

There was a double rainbow outside Buckingham Palace, a twitter user said. Some people in this town think it represents the Queen and Prince Phillip.

The Queen died more than a year after her devoted husband Philip, who she referred to as her “strength and guidance,” passed away in April 2021 at the age of 99.

Following the Queen’s passing this evening, Liz Truss gave a speech to the country.

The Queen just selected Ms. Truss as prime minister two days ago in Balmoral.

We are all heartbroken by the news we just received from Balmoral, she added.

“The country and the globe are in deep shock at Her Majesty the Queen’s passing.”

There had been rumours that the next King may govern as King George VII, adopting one of his middle names, however Liz Truss later said that the new King would be Charles III.

It’s an incredible accomplishment to have reigned for 70 years with such dignity and elegance, she added. Most of our live recollections cannot begin to capture the breadth of her service.

She received affection and admiration in return from individuals in the UK and throughout the globe.

She has personally inspired me and many other Britons; her dedication to duty serves as an example for us all.
