The majority of American newspapers covered the story accurately, reporting the facts as they emerged throughout the morning.
Others, however, provided perspective on the gravity of the situation by interviewing US-based expatriates on what it implies for the country and the world.



Sarah Hewson, a royal correspondent for the Washington Post, heard a sad remark: ‘She represents more than just the monarchy; she is the one the nation always looks to.’
Journalists from throughout the United States also broke the news via social media, with some tweeting adoring photos of the monarch with the remark, “God save the Queen.”
In the meantime, media outlets from all around the world extended their condolences to the king, with newspapers and websites sharing the distressing news with their audiences.
Doctors described the 96-year-old Queen as ‘comfortable’ after seeing her this morning, hours after she was urged to rest instead of attending a Privy Council meeting on Zoom last night.
Children and grandchildren of Her Majesty have raced to Balmoral after doctors disclosed they are ‘concerned’ about the monarch’s health and are keeping her under medical monitoring.

The Fox News network This morning, Fox and Friends host Carley Shimkus stated on the program, “Queen Elizabeth has led such an extraordinary life.”

MSNBC also reported on the Queen’s health, with the anchor pictured in front of the White House as she discussed the matter.
The morning news was also prominent on CBS, with the anchor discussing at length what the update implies for Britain’s future.

MSNBC then showed archival footage of Her Majesty with Prince Charles while an interviewee discussed the royal family.
CNBC’s morning programming featured the Queen as one of its top items, but centered on the Federal Reserve and Dow Jones equities.
Anderson Cooper from CNN said: ‘Obviously this is a family with many ups and downs, plainly it looks all members of this family are wanting to go to Balmoral and all be there together.’
Max Foster responded, “Prince William and Prince Harry have not done anything together since erecting Diana’s memorial at Kensington Palace.”
“There is a tremendous split there, but Harry, Meghan, and William are now all headed in the same direction; they have put their differences behind them.”
There is profound mistrust, and they are physically avoiding each other.

The Spanish newspaper El Pais says that physicians have expressed “grave concern” regarding the health of the Queen.
Tuesday, the Spanish publication La Vanguardia also included a photograph of the Queen at Balmoral Castle.
The Italian news agency Ansa published the same image as Bild and several other newspapers. Like Bild’s Ana’s headline, which reported that ‘all the children (are) at her bedside’ and broke the news of the health concerns surrounding The Queen’s condition.

Germany’s Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung reports that the United Kingdom is concerned about Queen Elizabeth II.
The Swedish news outlet Aftonbladet reportedly said that the Queen’s “entire family” was en route to her bedside. In addition, it was reported that the BBC had ceased its regular programming.
