The seaplane accident into Washington’s Puget Sound on Sunday is believed to have killed all of the passengers, including actor and singer Megan Hilty’s sister, brother-in-law, and baby nephew.

The performer, who has appeared in numerous television series and Broadway productions including “Wicked,” “9 to 5”, and “Noises Off,” posted pictures of her sister Lauren Hilty, her brother-in-law Ross Mickel, and their son Remy on Instagram on Wednesday night.

She also posted a message about the weekend crash that claimed the lives of ten people.

“On Sunday afternoon, a little float aircraft crashed into Puget Sound near the edge of Whidbey Island,” Hilty wrote.

Ross, my brother-in-law, and my infant nephew Remy were on that flight, along with my dear sister Lauren.

The “Smash” star also revealed that her sister was expecting a child, and their family anticipated welcoming Luca next month.

One day after the U.S. released its report, Hilty stated in her statement, “The past three days have been the worst of our life. There are just no words to adequately communicate the depth of our sadness.

After rescue personnel failed to locate the corpses of nine victims after a thorough search, the Coast Guard announced their identities.

Hilty said that her sister’s and her brother-in-other law’s daughter was not there when the seaplane crashed.

She stated that she had identified Lauren Hilty and her family on social media on Wednesday due to inaccurate reports about them in connection to the incident.

It has come to my notice that numerous press sources have misgendered my lovely nephew, and others haven’t even addressed newborn Luca. Therefore, I’m going to publicly recognise this heartbreaking family tragedy,” Hilty stated.

“Thank goodness, my niece was not on the flight, and we ask that her name and personal information be kept hidden since she is a child. Lauren and Ross left behind my niece who we are all keeping in our hearts.”

She said, “It is crucial that these errors be made in order to properly memorialise everyone we’ve lost and the loved ones they’ve left behind.”

Everyone in our family has been very touched by the outpouring of support, and it has been reassuring to know how deeply Lauren, Ross, Remy, and Luca are loved.

On Sunday afternoon, a Northwest Seaplanes aircraft transporting Hilty’s family members and other passengers from Friday Harbor in the San Juan Islands to a Seattle neighbourhood crashed in the Puget Sound without making a distress call.

The Coast Guard said earlier this week that one person was discovered dead in the crash’s aftermath, but the other nine individuals are still missing.
