Russell Agius has been appointed by the Lord Chancellor to the Judicial Pension Board for a term of three years beginning on September 5, 2022.

For more than 28 years, Russell Agius has provided pension programme advice. He is an Aon Partner.

Although he has a number of business affiliations, he spends the most of his time assisting trustees.

He has served as a secondee for the Pension Protection Fund, the Pensions Regulator, and the Department for Work and Pensions.

The Lord Chancellor must work with the Judicial Pension Board (JPB) to oversee and administer the Judicial Pension Schemes.

The appointment of JPB Members is governed by the Commissioner for Public Appointments, and the recruiting procedures adhere to the Governance Code on Public Appointments.
