Springbok giant Eben Etzebeth and Wallabies prop Allan Alaalatoa reconciled following a violent brawl that erupted during Saturday’s Rugby Championship Test in Sydney, which the South Africans won 24-8 to break a nine-year drought Down Under.

The Wallabies posted a video on Twitter of the pair drinking a beer after the game. During the game, a large altercation ensued when Makazole Mapimpi scored for the Springboks in the 71st minute, putting the visitors up 17-3. His reaction to Marika Koroibete’s grounding led to the ensuing melee, to which other players also contributed.

While several players from both teams were embroiled in the action along the perimeter wall, Etzebeth and Alaalatoa were immediately approaching the center as the drama erupted.

Etzebeth and Alaalatoa, the respective captains on the field after Siya Kolisi and James Slipper were changed, made contact with one another’s faces during the enraged pushing.
