Despite the fact that spies with a body mass index (BMI) of 30 are considered physically fat, the British secret services are still recruiting them.

A job listing for mobile surveillance officers on the MI5 website warns of the demands of the job, with operatives on their feet all day long in pursuit of a target and a starting salary of £37,757.

Additionally, because so many Britons are obese, applicants may have a BMI of up to 30.

According to the NHS, a BMI over 25 indicates overweight, while one over 30 indicates obesity.

It’s thought that the Security Service permits such high BMIs in order to draw in a more “diverse workforce.”

The greatest mobile surveillance officers are those that fit in with their surroundings and come from a variety of backgrounds, according to an intelligence source who spoke last night.
