Coming September 2, the eight-episode miniseries “Devil in Ohio” is being billed as a chilly thriller about a mysterious girl who apparently survives a cult and insinuates herself into the life of a fellow teen. Emily Deschanel and Madeleine Arthur star.

“Cobra Kai” Season 5

Here comes the fifth season of “Cobra Kai,” the present-day continuation of the 1984 teen drama featuring Ralph Macchio as the once-bullied Daniel LaRusso. Mary Mouser stars as Samantha LaRusso.

Look for it starting September 9.

“Untold: Race of the Century”

If you were a fan of other installments of “Untold,” including the riveting catfishing tale of Manti Te’o, you won’t want to miss this entry.

A chronicle of the 1983 America’s Cup yacht competition, “Race of the Century” tells the tale of the scrappy Australians who dethrone the New York Yacht Club, breaking the longest-running win streak in history: 132 years.

“Sandman”

Here’s Mason Alexander Park as Desire in the much-hyped TV adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s “Sandman” comic book series.

The show bowed August 5, and — attention, fans — includes the small-screen treatment of the classic “Dream of A Thousand Cats.”

“Stranger Things” Season 4: Volume 2

The gang is divided by distance — we’re talking everywhere from Russia to Hawkins, Indiana — but they’re more determined than ever to stop Vecna and his evil pals.

“The Circle”

“The Circle” is a new take on the reality genre. It’s a mixture of “Big Brother” and “Catfish.” Contestants can communicate only through text, presenting themselves any way they want.

Well-liked contestants then become “influencers” who can eliminate others from the game.

“Ozark”

“Ozark,” an Emmy Award-winning series starring Jason Bateman and Laura Linney, follows a couple who moves to Missouri to launch a money laundering scheme. The series returned with its final episodes in April.

“Bateman’s commanding performance powers a gripping, twisty, sometimes spotty yarn that plays like ‘Breaking Bad’ in reverse,” says to Jeff Jensen of Entertainment Weekly.

“Our Great National Parks”

President Barack Obama hosts this scenic look at national parks.

And it’s not just in the United States, though California’s Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary gets its own episode. This show takes us to Kenya, Indonesia, Japan and Chile as well.

“Locke & Key”

The fantasy drama follows a a family unlocking the mysteries of a new home (through, yes, magical keys) while facing off against a demonic entity.

The series enters its third season August 10.

“Never Have I Ever”

Here comes the penultimate season of “Never Have I Ever,” a teen comedy co-created by Mindy Kaling and hailed by critics for its groundbreaking portrayals of South Asian people in Hollywood.

The third installment debuts August 12.

“How To Build a Sex Room”

From a rock ‘n’ roll sex dungeon to a soothing spa space, designer Melanie Rose crafts erotic renovations for couples in this spicy reality series.

“Murderville”

Will Arnett stars in this improvised procedural crime comedy. Every episode features a celebrity guest who teams with Arnett to solve a murder.

The first season celebrity guests are Conan O’Brien, Marshawn Lynch, Kumail Nanjiani, Annie Murphy, Sharon Stone and Ken Jeong.

“Cobra Kai”

Fans rejoiced when Netflix acquired this streaming series sequel to “The Karate Kid.” Netflix released the fourth season December 31.

Set 34 years after the fight between Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence, the story follows Lawrence as he reopens the Cobra Kai dojo.

“‘Cobra Kai’ doesn’t live in the past; instead it hits viewers with bursts of nostalgia endorphins, leaving us giddy and defenseless against the next emotional wallop,” wrote Kristen Baldwin in her review for Entertainment Weekly.

“The Witcher”

“The Witcher” is a fantasy series based on books and video games of the same name.

It stars Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia, a magically enhanced monster-hunter.

“Arcane”

“Arcane” is an animated science fantasy adventure show that tells the origin story of two of the playable champions from the popular video game “League of Legends.”

Hailee Steinfeld leads the ensemble voice acting cast that has received critical acclaim. As of January 4, the series has a perfect 100% critic score on Rotten Tomatoes and a 97% audience score from more than 500 reviews.

In her review for Paste, Tara Bennett noted you did not need to be a fan of the video game to enjoy the series, writing: “Even if you have no interest in picking up any kind of gaming console, do yourself a favor and give Arcane a try. It has more mature storytelling and emotional resonance than many live-action shows do right now.”

“Squid Game”

“Squid Game” is a survival horror show that tells the story of 456 people who play a series of deadly children’s games in order to escape deep financial debt.

The series became a phenomenon in October 2021, rising to become the most-watched Netflix series of all time.

In a review for USA Today, Kelly Lawler wrote: “What makes it so well-suited for binge-watching is how well [director Hwang Dong-hyuk] uses pacing and cliffhangers to make the series absurdly addictive.”

“Formula 1: Drive to Survive”

Formula One racing has surged in popularity among Americans, thanks to this docuseries that chronicles the quest for the Formula One World Championship. Season 4 documents the intense and controversial battle between Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton for the 2021 crown.

“Trust me, watch it. You won’t regret it,” wrote Paul Tassi in his review for Forbes.
