Former Arsenal player Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was assaulted by masked, armed thieves on Sunday night in Barcelona.

El Pais, a Spanish news outlet, reports that Barcelona and Gabon striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was a victim of a brutal robbery at his Castelldefels house early today morning (Barcelona).

According to police reports, at least four armed individuals entered the garden and attacked the man after threatening him with guns and iron bars.

Aubameyang and his wife were threatened by the robbers with firearms until they were able to unlock a safe from which they were able to take various gems and other valuables.

Several witnesses claim that the robbers left Aubameyang’s house in a white Audi A3.

Aubameyang did not play in Barca’s resounding 4-0 victory against Real Valladolid Sunday night at the Nou Camp. As a consequence, they maintain their perfect start to the 2017 LaLiga campaign. Chelsea in Premier League is still paying close attention to Aubameyang.
