Following a horrifying crash north of Brisbane, a mother and kid who were trapped in their vehicle have been taken to the hospital.

Just after 7 a.m. on Monday, a head-on collision on the D’Aguilar Highway near Caboolture wounded three persons.

After the two-car collision, the youngster was originally stuck in the debris but was eventually released and sent to the hospital.
