After wearing a “never kissed a Tory” T-shirt to the Pride march, a Labour MP has been criticized.

Lucy Powell, a Labour front-bencher, wore a T-shirt that read “never kissed a Tory.”

Chris Clarkson, a Conservative MP, stated that Ms. Powell should “grow up” in regards to the t-shirt. However, Labour supporters stated that the dispute was a diversion from the cost of living crisis.

A Labour front-bencher was accused of sowing discord after appearing in a T-shirt proclaiming she had “never kissed a Conservative.”

The party’s cultural spokesman, Lucy Powell, was advised to “grow up” after she was photographed wearing the T-shirt at this weekend’s Manchester Pride march.

Allies of the Labour Party, however, said that the controversy over the T-shirt, which has become popular in some Left-wing groups, was an attempt to divert attention from the cost-of-living crisis.

Chris Clarkson, Conservative Member of Parliament for Heywood and Middleton, described the shirt as “puerile, divisive, and entirely contrary to the ethos of inclusion that Pride is meant to exemplify.” Grow up.’

This is the issue, added Hyndburn and Haslingden representative Sara Britcliffe. Creating a us versus them dynamic. Very offensive coming from a shadow minister.

A divergence in political opinions should not result in hostility.

The Conservative representative Dehenna Davison, who came out as bisexual last year, deemed the stunt to be infantile.

A source close to Mrs. Powell said last night: ‘While the Conservatives are fixated on a T-shirt worn to a Pride event in Manchester this weekend – a T-shirt worn by Labour at all Prides for over a decade to much applause from the crowds – millions of families and pensioners are worried sick about paying their energy bills this winter.

“Conservative MPs should stop using Twitter and call the continuity Conservative leadership candidates to urge them to support Labour’s pledge to freeze energy rates and save families £1,000.”

Christian Wakeford, a fellow Labour MP who defected from the Conservative party earlier this year, denied wearing the identical shirt.

He stated, “I’ve always been a strong ally of LGBT people, regardless of political parties, so turn yourself in and have a nap.”
