Updated Proteas Test squad against England

Due to a fracture in his left index finger, it has been determined that Proteas batsman Rassie van der Dussen would not be able to participate in the balance of the Test series against England.

This injury was received by Van der Dussen as he was playing on the field on the first day of the second Test against England, which took place on Thursday at Old Trafford in Manchester.

After the Proteas had won the first Test at Lord’s by an innings and 12 runs, England came back and won the second Test by an innings and 85 runs to even the score in the three-Test series at 1-1.

He will go back to South Africa to see a finger specialist, and the doctor will then provide direction for the further medical therapy.

All-rounder Wiaan Mulder, who plays for the Lions, has been named to the roster.
