On August 10, a crash on the A9 near Ralia, south of Newtonmore, Scotland, claimed the lives of the group.

The 59-year-old truck driver was unharmed in the collision.

“Our sympathies are with the family and friends of those who have perished at what is a very terrible time for everybody,” said Sergeant Alasdair Mackay.

A GoFundMe campaign was created by a friend, Natalie Bratcher, to help Jared’s wife and their two young sons with some of their financial struggles.

He loved excellent dining, music, and mushroom hunting.
