Edo State Emerges best state in the 2021 WAEC Ranking

Edo State ranked as the top state in the 2021 West African Examination Council (WAEC) examinations, with a 92.8% success percentage among students who sat for the examination in the state.

According to a statement released yesterday, the state was also rated second in the nation for the pass rate among public school pupils who sat for the examination in 2021.

It cited recent statistics from WAEC and the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) issued by data provider, Statisense, on its Twitter account.

Edo led the nation with 92.8 percent of students passing the exams with five credits, including English and Mathematics, closely followed by Enugu State with 92.7 percent, Anambra with 92.2 percent, Benue State with 91.5 percent, Ebonyi with 90.5 percent, and Cross River State with 90.2 percent.

Enugu State ranked first with a score of 93.9 percent, followed by Edo with 93.5 percent, Benue with 91.7 percent, Ebonyi with 91.3 percent, and Anambra with 91.3 percent in the ranking of the performance of public schools that submitted candidates for the examination.
