Steven Hoffenberg dies at 77

Steven Hoffenberg, a friend of Jeffrey Epstein, passed away at the age of 77 at his residence in Connecticut, DailyMail.com has learned.

In the early 1990s, the infamous banker collaborated with Epstein on a Ponzi scam and was sentenced to 18 years in jail.

His Derby house was visited by police yesterday after a worried friend contacted. Hoffenberg was discovered unresponsive on his bedroom floor.

Although the exact reason of his death is still unknown, a police source said that his corpse showed no outward symptoms of trauma.

A medical examiner is presently examining dental records to determine that Hoffenberg’s corpse is really his because of the severe condition of decomposition in which it was found.

Nevertheless, the source from Derby Police informed DailyMail.com that they are “very convinced” that it is Hoffenberg.

Nothing suggests that this is not him,’ she said. Every piece of evidence we found belonged to him, including his car, medical files, ID phone, and other items.

In the next days, an official identification is anticipated.
