44-year-old arrested for Greenford mobility scooter murder

A leading investigator asserts that a group that “peddles beliefs and false information” is hiding their missing five-year-old daughter.

Grace Hughes and her mother Laura Hinks, also known as Laura Bolt, had not been seen since August 9, when they disappeared from their house in Berrimah, east of Darwin. Police have intensified their attempts to reconnect Grace with her ‘legal guardian,’ with both local and Australian Federal Police committing to bring her home.

Jon Beer, acting senior sergeant of the Northern Territory Detective Division, stated that the organization that abducted Grace continues to “promote beliefs and false information.”

Sgt. Beer stated that the NT Police will continue to target this gang and any other individuals aiding Grace’s continued harboring.

The police will utilize every possible resource to locate Grace.

Whoever is proven to have harbored those who kidnapped Grace will face severe charges in court.

When a supervised parental visit, the mother and daughter vanished after Ms. Hinks, 34, left a house on Hidden Valley Road at approximately 1:00 p.m.

Just days after their abduction, the authorities issued an appeal to persons they felt were actively concealing Grace.

Saturday, NT Police reported that a 50-year-old woman had been charged in connection with Grace’s disappearance.

She appeared in court in Darwin on Monday on charges of attempting to abduct a kid under 16 and abducting a child under 16.

The woman allegedly refused to give authorities the information they needed to locate the girl and her mother.

Detective Superintendent Kirsten Engels stated that the child’s mental health will be negatively affected by the alleged kidnapping.

“We are confident that there will be people in the community who will be able to assist us; they will know where Grace and I are and will be able to assist us,” she added on Sunday.

‘We’re urging you to do the right thing by contacting the police and sharing whatever information you have, no matter how insignificant.

Superintendent Engels stated that the five-year-old must be returned so she can return to school and rejoin her friends.

She stated, “Whatever concerns are blocking her return should and could be addressed in an appropriate manner, but involving Grace in this subject is inappropriate.”

She said, “Our major concern is Grace’s wellness and safety, knowing that her removal from this meeting and separation from her siblings would be a very painful experience.”

It will likely have a negative impact on her emotional and psychological health.

Ms. Hinks’ last known residence was in Moulden (in adjacent Palmerston), however it appears she no longer resides there.

Grace is characterized as having fair skin, brown hair, and brown eyes.
