In a suspected hit-and-run, a lady was discovered dead on the side of a road in rural Queensland.

The corpse of the 47-year-old man was discovered by the side of Four AK Road in Oakey, Toowoomba, about 8 a.m. on Saturday, according to police. According to preliminary information, she was hit by a car between midnight and 8 a.m., and authorities have formed a crime scene.

The forensic crash section and criminal investigation department of Queensland Police are investigating the woman’s death.
