Snowfall between 5- 20cm has been confirmed in parts of South Africa.

The Sani Pass, Drakensberg, and Lesotho high summits saw little snowfall since the temperature fell to a low enough level.

Please be aware that the snowfall may cause ice and slippery roads, traffic jams, and hazardous driving conditions.

The following areas may experience snow fall:

  • Lesotho
  • Eastern Cape
  • KwaZulu-Natal
  • Senqu
  • Barkly East
  • Matatiele
  • Elundini
  • Nqanqarhu
  • Maclear
  • Sakhisizwe
  • Elliot
