After being saved from the water at Durdle Door beach, a toddler needed to be flown to the hospital.

After being pulled from the ocean on Sunday, the child required medical assistance on the beach.

An air ambulance and a coast guard chopper were sent to the busy Dorset beach’s emergency.

At about 3 pm, thousands of swimmers had to get out of the path so that the air ambulance could land.

Family members accompanied the youngster as they were airlifted to the Dorset County Hospital in Dorchester. It is uncertain how they are doing.

The age of the victim has not been disclosed by the emergency services, and it is unknown whether it is a boy or female.

‘We got numerous 999 calls about 2.50pm stating that a kid had been rescued to the beach at Durdle Door after running into trouble in the sea,’ a coastguard spokesperson added.

The South West Ambulance Service, Dorset Police, Lulworth and Wyke Coastguard rescue teams, a coastguard helicopter, and an air ambulance were all sent.

“The infant was transported by air ambulance to the hospital.”

‘We got a complaint at 3.14pm from the Coastguard that a kid needed medical assistance having been pulled from the sea at Durdle Door,’ a Dorset Police spokeswoman said.

The youngster had reportedly been brought to the hospital with family members when officers arrived. At this moment, we don’t have any condition updates.
