After completing their holy pilgrimage in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, a second group of 426 pilgrims from Lagos State have arrived back in Nigeria.

On July 19, 2022, at exactly 12.30 p.m., pilgrims arrived at Murtala Mohammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos.

On Sunday, July 17, 430 pilgrims from Lagos State started their gradual return. With today’s safe arrival of the second group of 426 pilgrims, a total of 856 pilgrims from Lagos State have returned home.

The head of administration and human resources for the Lagos State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Mrs. Ganiyat Ojomu, led representatives to greet the pilgrims at the airport and expressed hope that the remaining pilgrims would soon return home safely to their loved ones.

She also urged the pilgrims to reflect the Hajj’s teachings in their future behaviour and interactions with others.
