Security officer shot during a cash-in-transit robbery in Kwadabeka in the region of Pinetown

Meditech Emergency Response, Netcare 911, and other emergency services arrived in Kwadabeka at around 9:20 a.m. today after receiving many reports of a security officer being shot during a cash-in-transit robbery at Kwadabeka in the Pinetown area.

When our paramedic arrived on the scene, it was discovered that a security guard, age 47, had suffered several gunshot wounds.

While the Netcare911 aeromedical helicopter was activated to transport the patient to an urgent care facility, Meditech Emergency Care Practitioners stabilised the patient on the scene.
