Netcare 911 responds to a shooting in Durban West region.

In KwaDabeka, Durban West, Netcare 911 responded to a shooting on Khululeka Drive.

According to reports, a cash-in-transit armed guard was wounded many times throughout his body during what was allegedly a cross-pavement heist.

The patient, an adult male, was found to be in a serious condition and received advanced life support treatment right away from Meditech, Emer-G-Med, and Netcare 911 paramedics.

A Netcare 911 helicopter air ambulance was called in to transport the individual to a specialized medical institution because of the severity of his injuries.

If any money was taken in the incident, that is still unknown.

The SAPS, who were on the scene, will look into the circumstances leading up to the shooting.
