A courier service with a Belfast depot detected the following veterinary medications. The parcel was transported from Australia and was intended for residential premises in Belfast.

The parcel contained:

  • 3 boxes of Foliphos (100 ml bottle – injectable).

The products were detained, and then Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (DAERA) seized them.

This substance, an injectable meant for use in dogs and horses, is not recognised as a veterinary treatment in Great Britain or Northern Ireland.

The medications were seized in accordance with Veterinary Medicines Regulations 2013 Regulation 25 (Importation of Unauthorized Veterinary Medicinal Products).
