South Africa: The Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, Dr Naledi Pandor, arrives in Bali, Indonesia, today to attend a two-day G20 Foreign Ministers Meeting

Dr. Naledi Pandor, the minister of international relations and cooperation, has arrived in Bali, Indonesia, for the two-day G20 Foreign Ministers Meeting (G20 FMM), which will be held on July 7 and 8, 2022.

The G20 Foreign Minister’s Meeting, with the theme “Recover Together, Recover Stronger,” will debate current geopolitical tensions throughout the world, their effects on humanitarian and socioeconomic issues, and the role and contribution of the G20 in bolstering multilateralism.

Minister Pandor will hold one-on-one conversations with a few of her counterparts to address matters of multilateral cooperation and shared interests on the sidelines of the G20 summit.

Following a successful trip to Singapore from July 5–6, 2022, at the request of Singapore’s Honourable Vivian Balakrishnan, Minister Pandor will go to Bali.

In order to strengthen collaboration and consider expanding development exchanges between South Africa and Singapore, Minister Pandor also paid visits to a number of governmental and commercial organisations in Singapore, including the National Research Foundation (NRF) and the Singapore Institute of Technical Education (ITE).
