A circus ringmaster was assaulted by a rampaging performing bear in front of a big group of youngsters and their parents.

Before entering the ring to perform its skills in the Russian city of Blagoveshchensk, the beast suddenly became upset.

As the ringmaster and a tamer strained to control the brown bear, pulling on its leash to make it cooperate, as it sought to flee, the audience gasped in amazement.

Someone may be heard yelling, “What’s wrong?” Damn.’

The beast, which was leashed, was given treats by the trainers while it did a trick by jumping on stools and standing upright on its hind legs.

When the bear finished its trick, there were cheers of relief from the audience.

No fencing or carrying anything to the crowd existed.

There were cries for a ban on live animal acts in circuses as the video gained popularity online.

The person who uploaded the video claimed: “The bear was probably teased.”

It became enraged, started kicking, and then attacked the tamer.

“But everything came out well.”

Another critic, Elena Klish, commented: “Poor creatures, it was very hot there.”

“Now is the time to outlaw such circuses,”

My acquaintance was present during the performance, Marina Gridina remarked.

She added that the animal lost its temper. It appears to be a little bit combative.

And there was no adequate screen to keep the onlookers out.

Have you seen the circumstances in which these creatures live, Ekaterina the other woman enquired?

I frequently walk past the circus because I live nearby.

“It is terrible; there are crowded iron cages, and the stink is tremendous.”

“A horse that is performing in a tent is simply suffocating from the heat.”

I’m unable to look at it because it is so sad.

A traveling troupe from Novosibirsk named Zvezdny performed the “Soviet Circus” spectacle.

The show “went well,” according to Valentina, the circus manager, who spoke to the Port Amur newspaper.

She suggested that “ill-wishers” might circulate the footage.

“Security measures are in place.” Animals are muzzled and on leashes.

The animal can be unhappy because it’s so hot. However, there was no assault.

Animal rights activist Irina Novozhilova has long demanded that all circuses using live animals—which are still widely attended in Russia—be banned.

No circus will ever have humane working conditions, she remarked.

“Training and cruelty go hand in hand…”

“Circuses are always incredibly harsh.”

And animal circuses ought to be outlawed.
