Russia’s Ilyushin Il-76 military aircraft crashes near households in Ryazan

The Ilyushin Il-76 military plane crashed in the Russian Ryazan area, killing four persons.

Five other people were hurt in the collision, according to the local police; they were sent to the hospital with various wounds. The victims’ conditions are stable, according to doctors.

On June 24, in the early hours, an Ilyushin Il-76 jet crashed on the Mikhailovskoye Highway in Ryazan. As a result of the aircraft colliding with electrical wires, a fire started at the accident scene. There was no electricity in a number of neighborhoods. In a field close to residences, an airplane crashed.

From Orenburg to Belgorod, the Il-76 was traveling. In order to refuel, it stopped in Ryazan.
