An adult male of unknown age has been killed during a Cash In Transit robbery on the R28

An adult guy of unknown age was killed early this evening on the R28 outside Mohlakeng, west of Johannesburg, during a Cash In Transit heist.

At 18:50, ER24 and many officers of the South African Police Service, as well as another private emergency medical service, arrived on the scene.

The back of the CIT van had been blown apart, according to reports. The driver was discovered still behind the wheel, with a gunshot wound or wounds and no indications of life.

On arrival, another private medical service’s ALS medic checked him and proclaimed him dead.

The specifics of this incident are unknown to ER24, but as previously stated, many SAPS officers were on the scene to conduct further investigations.
