Suspicious package leads to Waterloo station’s evacuation and Jubilee line’s part suspension

After a suspected suspicious package was discovered, Waterloo Tube station was evacuated and the Jubilee line portion was suspended.

‘Officers were summoned to Waterloo Underground station at 3.53pm today following complaints of a suspicious parcel,’ a British Transport Police spokesperson said.

‘Special officers have been dispatched, and the station has been evacuated until the item is assessed.’
