Sydney woman turns herself in after her mugshot went viral

After her mugshot went viral on social media, a gorgeous woman who was wanted by police for allegedly breaching bail on theft allegations turned herself in.

On Tuesday night, Jocelyn Laird prompted a manhunt after the Northern Beaches Area Command in Sydney posted her photo and claimed she was sought on an outstanding warrant.

On Wednesday morning, the 44-year-old from Manly on Sydney’s North Shore surrendered to police.

Ms Laird was granted bail on May 26 after being accused with taking less than $2000 from a person, but police say she violated her bail conditions.

After she was located on Wednesday, her matter was mentioned in Waverley Local Court.

She has yet to enter a plea, according to court documents obtained by Daily Mail Australia.

After posting $500 as a surety, the mother of one was given bail.

She must go to Manly Police Station three times a week and is prohibited from drinking alcohol or taking medications unless a doctor has prescribed them.

Ms Laird will return to court on June 16 to face her theft accusation and suspected bail violation.

Ms. Laird has made multiple court appearances, according to court filings, dating back to 2017.

After police shared her mugshot on social media on Tuesday evening, it drew hundreds of comments, many of which complimented on her physical attractiveness.

Because of the strange responses, police had to limit the number of people who could comment on the Facebook page.

Manly Observer, a local publication, likewise disabled and subsequently removed comments on a similar post, explaining why in the comments.

‘Those who have objected should be reminded that this is an entirely proper post for this page.’

‘Police have handed us the photo and information as a matter of public safety news, and we have shared such broadcasts on countless occasions as all and any news sites do,’ said the spokesperson.
